Even though Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is planning to move to team drills in practice this week, coach Mike Shanahan reaffirmed he has no plans to play the second-year superstar in a preseason game.
“No possibility,” Shanahan said of RG3 playing before Week 1 against Philadelphia. “My job is to get him ready for the first game and that’s what we’re hoping we can do. Now, without a setback, I believe he will be ready for the first game, and I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that there is no setback and we can have him for the first game of the season. But if there is a setback, we’ll have to adjust accordingly.”
